I don't advise from the sidelines. Every venture in this practice has been built the way the client is being asked to build — with real customers, real code, and real cash on the line. Ventures & Innovation is where the other three divisions get pointed at problems worth solving: MetaEdx Inc as the parent operating company, Verdant Eco and other portfolio bets as the applied work, and a small number of external transformation engagements each year for institutions that want a founder mindset in the room.

    Thesis

    A written thesis: the market shift, the specific wedge, the unfair advantage, and the smallest fundable version of the company.

  2. 02

    Prototype the business

    Ship a working product and land the first paying customers before we spend a single day on org design. If it can't earn, it doesn't get built.

  3. 03

    Assemble the team

    Only after there is signal — a founding team recruited around the customers who already said yes.

  4. 04

    Compound

    The work moves from founding into operating. Systems replace heroics. The venture becomes a company that can outlive its founders.
